Having worked in the Estates Department of Marks & Spencer's during the 1980s I graduated from Nottingham Trent whilst working in the Commercial Property Department of Neales Chartered Surveyors in Nottingham.
Along with Matthew Liggins I set up the practice of Musson Liggins in 1987 in order to advise a number of private clients and banks, which still continues today. I have worked not only in the East Midlands but at times around the UK, and I have developed specialisms including healthcare and leisure consultancy alongside General Practice work.
Career highlights include advising on the largest UK Factory Farm Fisheries development outside Europe, monitoring the development of the UK's first purpose built Acquired Brain Injury Unit and being involved in the appraisal and monitoring of a purpose built Laser Eye Surgery Hospital in London. I continue to work on specialist valuation and consultancy matters.
Outside of the Office
I coach hockey at National Premier League level and have coached in European competitions. I have also completed four End to End (John O'Groats to Lands End cycle rides) in 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2022 each in under ten days. I have four daughters and six grandchildren who ensure a very busy family life.
